Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary offers two types of school programs; the On-Site and the In-School programs. The On-Site programs are held at the Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary, the In-School programs travel to local area classrooms. Classes are 1 to 1½ hours long depending on the grade. All of our school programs have set goals, and are linked to the IRP (Integrated Resource Package) for the appropriate grade.
Program information is also available in printable form by downloading the Spring 2014 Poster.
School program fees are $80 per hour. In-School programs include an extra $15 charge for travel expenses..
In-School programs are also available on-site at the regular hourly rate of $80.
On-Site School Programs:
The On-Site Programs are conducted at the Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary and are offered Monday through Thursday, from late September to late November and from February to early June.
The In-School Programs are taught in classrooms during school hours. Six In-School programs are offered - Snake, Owl, Bat, Spider, From Dino Bones to Indiana Jones and (new this year) Portable Pond Program.
